Today you will learn how to make apple and walnut cake with Treacle Icing at home.
Ingredients for Apple and Wallnet Cake With Treacle IcingI :
For Cake:
- 300 g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Bicarbonte of soda
- 4 Eggs
- 3 unpeeled apple
- 40 g Brown Sugar
- 50 g Caster Sugar
- 250 g sunflower oil
- 100 g Walnut finely chopped
For Icing:
- 100 g Butter,softened
- 50 g dark soft brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of black treacle
- 200g tub full fat soft cheese
Method Of Making Cake :
Heat oven to 150C/130C fan/gas 2. Line two 20cm cake tins. Put the flour, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda in a big bowl and then stir in the sugars, making sure there are no lumps of sugar.Add the oil, eggs and apples and beat everything together.Fold in the walnuts then divide the mixture
between the tins and bake for 45 mins. Allow it to cool for a few mins in the tin then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
Method Of Icing:
To make the icing simply beat all of the requisite ingredients together until smooth and consistent. Place it in the fridge to cool until thick; this should take around 10 minutes. Spread half the mixture on top of each sandwich and Sprinkle over the remaining walnuts for decoration.Nutrition Facts Per SLICE :
